 THE VITAL IMPORTANCE OF RICE IN WEIGHT REDUCING 

 One of the most amazing foods that God has given to man is rice!  That vital 
 food can be stored for months without spoiling.  It is a staple food that 
 can be grown in most parts of the world.  It furnishes the body with many 
 elements that makes it an ideal food where not other food is obtainable. 
 In extreme cases, a person could live on rice alone indefinitely, without 
 harm to the body. 
 Of course, in this 7-day Oriental diet, I do not advocate living on rice 
 alone, for the body needs other vital elements.  However, rice in its 
 natural state, before the shell has been removed by polishing, is much more 
 than just another form of carbohydrate;  natural brown rice has in it 
 proteins, vitamins and minerals, which do not add to body weight, but which 
 give the body many nutritional elements needed for even a normal diet. 
 By adding vegetables, lean meats, grains, nuts and milk  products to this 
 basic food staple, you can actually maintain your body in the peak of 
 condition even after you have reduced to your natural weight. 

 TWO-DAY FASTING REGIME TO BEGIN LOSING WEIGHT IMMEDIATELY 

 To begin losing weight immediately and to convert the foods you eat into 
 solid protein without fat, you should begin your diet regime with the system 
 used in most of the Far Eastern countries:  this is to fast 
 for two days and drink only liquids and fruit or vegetable juices.  This 
 system of purification of the body is essential before starting to reduce. 
 It will help you rid the body of all accumulated wastes and poisons.  It 
 will also help you remove several pounds of excess liquids that may lodge in 
 the body cells, held there by salt that you have eaten for years.  If this 
 fasting regime is not followed, the body is not prepared to absorb the new 
 elements introduced into it throughout the diet and many of the body's 
 previous inflammations and 
 congestion's are apt to remain. 

 Follow This Purification and Fasting Regime for Two Days 

 To begin the purification regime for two days, make it a point to take a 
 glass of water with the juice of a whole lemon when you first arise in the 
 morning.  If this is too sour  you can flavor it with a touch of honey. 
 This lemon and water will help cleanse the stomach of all mucus and will 
 begin the process of neutralizing the acids which accumulate when you are on 
 an acid-forming diet of starches, sugars and excessive quantities of meat or 
 other proteins. 
 During the rest of the day you can drink several glasses of fruit juices, 
 without the addition of sugar or other sweeteners.   These can be orange,
 grapefruit, apple or prune juice, or any others that you prefer. 
 You can drink as many as six to eight glasses of these fruit juices a day, 
 but do not eat any solid foods for this two-day period.  The natural sugars 
 in the fruit juices are not harmful. 
 During this two day fast, whenever you feel hunger pangs, take more juice 
 and then drink water in between. 
 After two days of this juice therapy you will find that you actually do not 
 have much desire for solid foods.  Many people have fasted as long as two or 
 three weeks and have had no harmful effects to the body. 
 What happens during these fast periods is that the body is feeding on its 
 own stored fats. 
 After the second day of fasting you will notice that your sense perceptions 
 are sharper; you will feel a sense of lightness in your body and you will be 
 happier than before.  This sense of well-being will permeate everything you 
 do.  As you remove the toxic substances that have been poisoning your 
 bloodsteam for years, you will experience for the first time in months a 
 general feeling of energy and health. 

 Recipe for Cabbage Soup: 

 1 head of cabbage 
 1 full celery stalk 
 1 can tomatoes 
 1 bell pepper 
 6 lg onions 

 After you have cut up these vegetables into medium-sized pieces, cover them 
 over with water and let it come to a full boil.  After it has boiled about 
 ten minutes lower the fire and let the reducing soup simmer for a full two  and a half hours, or until the vegetables  are soft.  Do not worry that you will be cooking all the nutrients out of  the vegetables! 
 This soup is not intended to nourish you!  In fact, if you ate nothing but 
 this soup you would soon starve to death.  It will give no nourishment and 
 no fat to the body whatsoever;  that is why it is used, but it will give you 
 the comfortable feeling of being full and you can eat it as often as you 
 wish when you feel hungry, with the other basic reducing foods.   When you 
 eat a bowl of this reducing soup you may sprinkle it with Parmesan cheese to 
 make it more palatable.  You can also add a small container of onion soup 
 mix which can be found in your grocery store, just to give it more flavor. 
 This  should be done while the big pot of soup is cooking.  The reason I suggest 
 preparing a big pot of this reducing soup is that it is easy to prepare and 
 to keep for days in your refrigerator, saving you the bother of making it 
 every day.

Hi,  I have started this diet, but do not know what to do exactly after the
 two-day fasting.  Please advise how to eat the morning, noon and night
 regime.  Please,  Tricia

WHAT WE DO ON THE THIRD DAY IS:
START THE DAY ONE GLASS OF O.J.
1/2 HR BEFORE BREAKFAST,
2 EGGS AND A SLICE OF
WHOLE WHEAT TOAST,
THEN ALL THE SOUP WE WANT,
WE SOME TIMES PUT A LITTLE CURRY
 AND PARMESAN CHEESE FOR FLAVOR.
REMEMBER YOU CAN EAT ALL THECabbage Soup
YOU WANT, ALL DAY LONG, ANY TIME.

LUNCH:
COTTAGE CHEESE W/FRESH FRUIT OR
SALAD WITH NON FAT DRESSING,
OR BROWN RICE W/FISH OR CHICKEN BREAST.
THEN ALL THE SOUP WE WANT AND FRUIT JUICE.

DINNER :
DRINK SOME FRUIT JUICE OR WATER BEFORE DINNER
TO CURB THE APPETITE , TO EAT 4 OUNCE'S OF LEAN LAMB OR CHICKEN BREAST, BROWN
RICE, VEGGIES LIKE STRING BEANS,
BROCCOLI, CUCUMBERS, ETC. , NO POTATO'S OR STARCHY
FOODS, NO FAT, NO SWEETS, NO SALTS, ALCOHOL.
SOMETIMES EAT DINNER AND THEN SOME SOUP .

REMEMBER TO KEEP THE MEAL PORTIONS SMALL.

SOME TIMES WE HAVE A WHOLE WHEAT TORTILLA W/ SOME ALL FRUIT PRESERVES, JUST
ENOUGH FOR FLAVOR, FOR DESSERT.

DO THIS SEVEN TO TEN DAYS THEN SWITCH TO THE RICE DIET FOR A SHORT TIME, THEN ROTATE BACK TO THE 2 DAY FAST & SOUP DIET.
