The Coastal Kaleidoscope   -    By Mitch Mayhue   -    © March 3rd 2005     Seaside, Cannon Beach, Astoria, Warrenton, Gearhart, the Northwest's most popular beach destinations in Clatsop County Oregon, making its livelihood on tourism with attractions for family and singles with a buzzing carnival-like atmosphere you can bet its also the place to go for business conventions as many corporations have been for over 100 years.       .       Drawing Millions of visitors every season the area is growing, accommodations are plentiful and range from quiet, family friendly & inexpensive to over the top, VIP’n extravagant, with a mile and a half of Prom that parallels the ocean to Promenade with your favorite person or pet and beaches that run for miles to downtown areas with exotic street level, above street level and Believe it or not below street level shops and entertainment’s.     My personal pick for getting to and from the area is Ex Nihilo Transport, serving Clatsop Counties Reasserts, Hotels, etc.. see more about them at www.jcandwe.com and at many other travel websites.     The North Coast area looks Like a living picture postcard with fantastic backgrounds for the family photographer or the professional movie maker as theaters can attest to.     If food is your thing, “I know it is mine”, You will find a cornucopia of choice dinning and sweet shops galore, Elephant ears and candy shops, seafood to eat on the spot or have delivered to your home, wherever that may be, razor clams or local crab is a delectable choice, my choice is the bellbuy restaurant.     This dreamlike area celebrates the arrival of Trend West Resorts, adding to the collage of accommodations they have anchored in the heart of Seaside as close to the beach as you can get.     If you want to tour the area you can take the buss up and down the coast or charter  Ex Nihilo transport by the hour for VIP treatment, they can also pick up and drop off at PDX or SeaTac, etc. .     For decades, homeowners, overnight visitors and gawkers have never stopped coming and coming back to reguvinate, relaxe, party, go fishing, boating, hiking, shopping and golfing to name just a few activities,     Glorious sunsets and brisk morning walks, traditional Churches used by worshippers of varied faiths, all-American but with the flavors of the world, called by many  “a true Kaleidoscope of culture”,  if you have simple or refined tastes you will find that the Oregon North Coast area is a must see.     Wish you were Here - Mitch
